Bibelots 2 Mould
Meet Bibelots 2, the next generation of one of our most beloved holiday moulds. The beautifully blank shapes welcome the most creative projects, making holiday crafting feel fun and inspiring. Bibelots 2 is a blank slate for your Christmas inspired creating, and trust us, this is one you’ll find yourself reaching for each season.

These timeless silhouettes are ready to pair with transfers, moulds, stamps, paint inlays, and anything else you want to layer it up with. Their versatility takes the fuss out of handmade ornaments, so you can skip straight to the fun part!

Pair Bibelots 2 with bits from our holiday transfers like Partridge Lane or Winter Botanist, or nestle a tiny snowflake or woodland creature from the Snow Globes Mould into one of the blank bibelots. Try sandwiching a favorite photo between two clear resin casts for a keepsake ornament. You could even add a ribbon and name tag for a custom place setting! Use IOD Moulds with many different mediums.

The 2 most common mediums used for furniture, jewelry, or home decor accents are Air Dry Clay and casting resin

IOD Air dry clay also called paper clay is an air dry medium.   Like other paper pulp based air dry clays, some shrinking, warping, and cracking is expected and results in a distressed, authentically vintage look.  Suggested way to apply molded pieces is to take them out of the mould while still moist, then adhere to your project with your favorite glue, ensuring it conforms well. If the surface is vertical, you can use a piece of low tack tape to hold it in place to keep it from sliding.

Casting resins have completely different qualities than the paper clay.  There are some great pourable resins available.  It will not shrink or warp, and the casting is more consistent. Depending on your project, these qualities can be helpful. If you need to conform your casting to a curved surface,  you will need to remove it from the mould before it’s completely hardened.

Most of the time a release agent is not needed and the casting will come out easily.  However, if you are having any trouble with the material sticking (more common with clay) then a light dusting of cornstarch or arrowroot is works great.
